Criminal Record Checks

Based on name and date of birth, a Criminal Record Check within Canada (CIPC Database) or Internationally will report criminal convictions for offences where the job candidate has not received a record suspension. This screening can help prevent your company from theft, violence or other criminal offenses, potentially saving you thousands of dollars in loss.

Fingerprinting

Enhanced Canadian Criminal Record checks are available through Safeguard partner agencies. Fingerprints are obtained and compared with the Police database in Canada. Fingerprint comparison checks can also be completed through the FBI.

Employment Verification

At Safeguard, we don’t just confirm employment dates and reasons for leaving.  We do a deep dive into an applicants performance at their previous employers.  This includes the use of detailed forms that question important KPI’s and allow for ratings.  This could include simple things like punctuality and customer service skills, but also questions tailored to your business needs.  For example, if you are hiring someone to handle cash, drive a forklift or perform certain types of labour we will ask about those things.  We will design a tailor made form that works for your business
